Priya’s holiday with all the home learners takes an unusual turn when she and Milly uncover a mystery from long ago that needs solving.

When Reggie looks after his neighbour’s dog, Razzle, he gets tangled up in some serious detective work……..and he needs some of the home learners to help him.

Skip, a young environmentalist and expert tree climber, finds out that the children living in the local tower blocks have nowhere to play. She makes the decision to do something about it and gets the other home learners involved.

Max’s Uncle Budge, a hopeless businessman, helps Max to start up his own business, washing cars……but when Cobblebridge village shop needs someone to deliver groceries, Max sees this as an opportunity and there is an unexpected ending.

When Yash’s sister, Priya, is taken to hospital, he sees the importance of play to help children get better. He decides to fundraise for new toys and gets the home learners involved. Each one of them has a different idea on how to raise money.

Izzy persuades her Dad to put on a home learners’ sports day and he makes her Chief Organiser. However, the day takes on some unexpected twists and turns, with the help of Scooter, her toddler brother, and Bramble the dog.

When Milly is diagnosed with dyslexia, she decides to celebrate and see it as a positive thing. She is given a camera as a present which gives her another outlet for her creative talent and which leads on to bigger and greater things.

This story is written particularly with dyslexics in mind.

Following a conversation over breakfast with his Mum and Max, Olly starts a project about space. The others get involved in different ways and Olly’s Grandpa has a special space treat to round things off.

Finlay’s Mum decides to open a Forest School in the woods on their farm. The group of home learners are there for the opening day but Max and Olly have their own ideas and it doesn’t all turn out as expected.

Lettie’s love for the theatre prompts her to put on a play with the home learners in the village hall. However, there are several difficulties to overcome before they start.
